Single-User Architecture

Client-Server Architecture
In the client-server architecture, the shared database is stored on the build server. Every developer can access any exception reports even those not processed on his computer.

This is the best choice for a development team. The Server is available in Professional and Enterprise editions. You need to purchase only one Build Server (Professional or Enterprise) and then each developer using {smartassembly} needs a Client license.

Client-Server Architecture with Custom Web Server
If you don't want to rely on our web-server and want to be 100% independent, we provide the Custom Web Server option, which is available for the Build Server Enterprise.

The Custom Web Server requires a web server running IIS and the .NET Framework 1.1 (or above).

Subscription Renewal
Except the Standard Edition of {smartassembly}, all other Editions come with a 1-year subscription including free upgrade and email support.
After this date, you will of course still be able to use your current version of {smartassembly}.
However, you have to renew your subscription to the exception reporting web-service, if you want your customers to be able to send you exception reports.
Also, if you want to have access to all new versions and to support for one more year, you must renew your subscription.
2 levels of subscription are available, depending on your needs:
 A web-service only subscription, if you just want to continue using our web service to enable your users to upload exception reports.
A full subscription, if you also want to receive all upgrades for {smartassembly} and have access to our email support, for one more year. This subscription includes a 1-year Web Service Subscription Renewal, to enable your users to upload exception reports.
